Scope of Work Kevin plays a critical role in ensuring contraceptive security for target populations by supporting programs with analyses and state-of-the-art resources. He also provides technical direction for a portfolio of activities funded by PRH to advance global leadership in contraceptive security as well as technical guidance and monitoring oversight for the USAID/Deliver Project. A particular emphasis is on ensuring the sustainability of contraceptive security after country graduation from USAID family planning assistance. Kevin is currently working to strengthen local leadership and technical training opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa, collaborating with bilateral and multi-lateral partners to strengthen health commodity systems in developing countries around the globe, and improving donors’ ability to monitor and respond to emergency contraceptive stocks shortages. Kevin has received an Above and Beyond Award for support to Latin America and a Superior Group Award project design and management.
Background Kevin has a PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University and a BA in Natural Sciences from Hampshire College. Prior to his fellowship, Kevin was a National Science Foundation International Research Fellow at the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales in Madrid and an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow with the U.S. Department of State’s Office of UNESCO Affairs and USAID’s Office of Population and Reproductive Health.
