Public Health Institute Wins New Cooperative Agreement:
Global Health Fellows Program II

We are very pleased and excited to announce that the Public Health Institute has been awarded a new USAID Cooperative Agreement to continue the work of the Global Health Fellows Program. Set to begin October 1, 2011, the new iteration of the project will be known as Global Health Fellows Program II (GHFP-II). Please check back to this space as we continue to update the site.

The GHFP-II team will build on GHFP-I's proven approach to recruiting and supporting diverse fellows and interns while expanding to include a wider range of talent and placement sites. GHFP-II will partner with CDC Development Solutions (CDS) to increase the number of non-traditional experiences and offerings, as well as work with Management Systems International (MSI) to create an integrated performance-oriented approach to the fellows' professional development.

To deepen outreach efforts, GHFP-II will tap into a network of more than 65 universities and a wealth of partner organizations across the US. This will open the door equally to schools with new and mature global health programs, as well as those offering broader technical talent useful to USAID.
